Who are we?
Tarplin Consulting, LLC is a New York/ CT-based outsourced investor relations platform for private equity and adjacent strategies and transactions. Founded by Amanda Tarplin in early 2019, Tarplin Consulting started because we identified a significant need in the industry for outsourced investor relations solutions in the alternative investment industry. We understand that not every firm needs full-time in-house investor relations professionals and we have experienced first-hand that resources are often stretched with in-house teams. Tarplin Consulting delivers outsourced and seasoned investor relations capability on a project and advisory basis.
We specialize in the development and execution of high-quality institutional investor relations programs across a suite of services including fundraising & diligence management, investor marketing collateral, investor relations advisory and best practice, events & AGMs and websites, as well as transaction services such as private to public transactions, carve outs and SPAC IPOs. We have deep expertise in the investment management industry in a number of investment strategies (private equity, distressed debt, private credit, a variety of hedge fund strategies, quantitative systematic managed futures and commodities, and fund of funds), as well as with portfolio companies directly.

Founder & CEO
Amanda Tarplin
Amanda is Founder and CEO of Tarplin Consulting. She has significant experience building and driving institutional investor relations programs for private markets and private to public transactions on behalf of her clients. Amanda has deep expertise in the investment management industry, with over 15 years of experience in investor relations, across a number of investment strategies in private and public markets including private equity, private credit/ distressed, managed futures, a variety of hedge fund strategies, SPACs, as well as with portfolio companies directly.
Prior to founding Tarplin Consulting, Amanda was with Strategic Value Partners for 5 years, a Greenwich CT-based distressed credit firm, where she co-managed investor relations activities. She was responsible for covering both private equity and hedge fund products and for maintaining relationships with a diverse global, institutional investor base across over 150 institutions. While at SVP, she was a key member of a team that completed fundraising for two private equity funds and contributed to growing assets under management by about $4 billion across the platform during her tenure. Prior to SVP, Amanda spent over 5 years with Millburn Ridgefield Corporation, a systematic, quantitative asset manager where she also focused on marketing and investor relations. Amanda began her career at Morgan Stanley in private wealth management. She received a B.B.A. from Villanova University, where she studied marketing and finance.
Amanda also has significant experience across a number of industries working with companies directly through her private equity clients including technology/ SAAS, food and beverage, consumer, infrastructure, packaging, manufacturing, consumer, building materials, media and telecom.
Amanda is on the education committee for the100 Women in Finance Connecticut Westchester Chapter and is a member of The Upside, a community of independent consultants across industry verticals. She grew up in Summit, NJ and currently lives in Southport, CT with her husband and son. She is a tennis player, amateur interior designer and personal organizer and an avid traveler.
